The Way I was Made

Nikki is back home from hospital. She came home last night. She is feeling better after they drained 1.5 l of fluid from her abdomen. It was a long day of tests and poking and prodding and she was looking forward to getting into her own bed to rest (I think we all know that hospitals are NOT the place for rest).

Haven't chatted to her this morning yet but will update with more news when I know more.

I thought I would include the lyrics of a song that was playing on my iPod when we were at Shelley Point recently - they really spoke to Nix and challenged her. She has shared them with most people she has met with since then. It is such a wonderful challenge for all of us. From Chris Tomlin's song, The Way I was Made:

    Praying and standing with you guys as I know God has called many others to do as well. Know that your entire family is surrounded by so many who love each of you so dearly and are trusting for every day's needed miracle, joy, peace, strength and wholeness. You are so close to our hearts!

    My heart breaks reading all this, but what joy it brings to my heart knowing that precious Nikki is just so consumed and surrounded by the love of her Heavenly Father and all her precious family and friends! Eve, I can only imagine how sore your heart must be and know that if it was not for God's unlimited strength and comfort that He offers, you would not cope! Please give Niks a huge hug and kiss from each of us. We have a lovely pic she took of us as a family, sitting on our sideboard and we often have a giggle remembering when Eth asked her to marry him ;) Tell her we love her,we pray for her and that whatever happens, we will see her again, be it in CT or surrounded by angels and heavenly hosts with her Father! She is one of life's little treasures and she has always had a very precious and special place in our hearts!!!! We love and miss you all!!!
