Our precious, courageous, amazing Nix went home to be with Jesus at 11.30 this morning. I was privileged to be with her when she went. There was an amazing presence of God in the room as we sat with her. She leaves such an incredible legacy of faith in our God for her sweet children. She will forever leave a hole in our hearts and our world. Please watch this space, I want to tell you all the full story when I am feeling more up to it...

ReplyDeleteTragedy of Tragedies, Please know that we are with you all and hold you all up in prayer. Christ has welcomed a true angel into His fold and I can hear the Father's first words; "Welcome home, My good and faithful servant. Enter into the rest of the Lord." Graham, Jene, Shelley, Veronique and Makayla. For those left behind, She had truly amazing and dedicated Folks, sister, hubby and kids. God Bless you all.

ReplyDeleteOh Evie. I'm so so sorry. My heart is just ripped open right now. I hardly know what to say, think or feel. Thank you though, for being such an amazing sister to Nikki. You've had your own difficult things to deal with on top of having to be there for her, and watch her suffer. Thank you so much for all the time you invested in sharing Nikki's story with us all. It's been so hard to be so far away from you all. This blog has been a blessing and helped us all pray more effectively and, be made so aware of what an amazing person Nikki was. She was a gift to us all, and will always be remebered. An inspiration. And a reminder to never let a bad situation get you down. Sending love to you and the family. Praying for His perfect peace, comfort and healing for all of you, especially Hannah and Daniel. Love you Evie.

ReplyDeleteI was saddened to hear of Nikki's passing, as I had only a month ago made contact with her after nearly 24 years. She pointed me in the direction of this blog, and I read her whole story. It is an amazing story of strength, both physical and spiritual.
ReplyDeleteNikki and Eve had a profound effect on me growing up and I often thought of them. My love and blessings go out to their families and I'm certain that she is at peace for the first time in a very long time, looking down at her friends and family and paving the way for the day they will be reunited.
Nikki was a special person, and I wish it hadn't taken 24 years to finally get to know her story.
