The whole Boyd family (including Wayne and Heather and baby Cole who are in Cape Town for a visit) have gone away together for the weekend. It's always fun to get away but I am sure it will be therapy for all of them to be together again, enjoying a good dose of family time away from the pressures of home.
Nix has struggled with fevers this week and has had her usual dose of pain - worst in the mornings, but pretty consistent throughout the day. Her new quote is "I do (hurt) if I do and I do if I dont, so I do!" So if you see her around it's not because she's feeling fantastic, it's because she is "embracing" whatever is coming her way and "doing" in spite of it. She is such a soldier!
Next week, Nikki goes for her tests to see how effective the Chemo has been. The doctor has scheduled another dose of Chemo for this Wednesday regardless of the outcome of the tests.
So, with a hectic week ahead of them, we really pray for a blessed and fun time away for them this weekend and that God would continue His healing work in Nikki's body. We are believing for a good report when the test results come back - may the doctors be amazed!

Reading this on a daily basis is becoming such an inspiration! Nikki you are amzing! I pray that your positive out look on life will flow over on to my dad who is fighting bone and liver canser!
